On the 20th anniversary of Hotel Paradiso 1983-2003, we thought about a way to thank those choosing to spend their holidays at Residence Hotel Paradiso, in Villa Rosa, in those years. It was impossible to thank everyone personally and so we had the idea of creating a humanitarian initiative, thinking that the best way to say “thank you” for what we get was to help those most in need.

What the initiative is

We have decided to allocate 1% of the income of each season to a project to be carried out in collaboration with organizations already engaged in the humanitarian field. In the calculation, we only consider payments by cash or by cheque. We do not count payments by credit or debit cards, for which we already pay a commission to various banks.

2024 PROJECT – Emergency Pedagogy without Borders and the Mission in Guinea Bissau

Our idea of combining holidays with solidarity celebrates its 21 birthday. Our goal was originally to help some communities in Africa but, over the years, we have also turned our attention to Italy, facing some particular moments of difficulty. This year, we are going to support two special initiatives as we are emotionally tied to both beneficiaries.

The 1st project is aimed at the association "Notfallpädagogik ohne Grenzen", literally Emergency pedagogy without borders, which deals with Emergency Pedagogy, intervening to support children in places where tragic events such as wars or earthquakes occur, they are currently engaged in a particular way in Ukraine. In these cases it is important to intervene on children as soon as possible to alleviate the traumas caused by these disasters and knowing personally the leaders of the association, we know that they really care about the good of children.

The 2° project will help a Mission in Quinhámel Guinea Bissau, where the Franciscan Sisters operate.
